Office yoga classes have become a central part of many employee wellness programs.
We’ve provided office yoga classes in Melbourne and throughout Victoria and Australia since 2005.
About Our Office Yoga Classes
Choose the type of class:
We can deliver both onsite (Melbourne) and online classes, and also group and individual classes:
- Onsite yoga classes
We provide in-person yoga sessions at your office or event in Melbourne and throughout Victoria and Australia. To make sure that every employee receives the necessary one-on-one attention from the instructor, we recommend limiting classes to 15-20 participants. We recommend that attendees wear clothing that’s comfortable to exercise in, and bring a yoga mat or towel, to place on the floor, if they wish. - One-on-one yoga classes for executives
Time is very precious to busy executives, and therefore, avoiding wasteful travel time by having the yoga class in the office is a huge benefit to them. The executive maximizes the benefit they get because the instructor adapts the exercises to cater to suit their level and needs. - Online yoga classes
If you have employees in an office in Melbourne and staff who work remotely or in other locations, then a live online yoga session is the perfect solution.
Our office yoga sessions are customized to ensure that everyone can participate at an appropriate level, regardless of their level of fitness.
Choose level of intensity:
We can vary the level of intensity of the yoga class to suit your needs:
- Stress relief – slow and meditative.
- Strength and fitness – active and energizing.
The instructor will ask participants what level they’re at and can demonstrate different versions of each exercise to suit the fitness level of the participant. - Something in between.
Stress Less, Sleep Deep: the Power of Yoga Nidra and Pranayama
If you want, our instructors can add a bit of variety to the office yoga sessions by including one of the following, beneficial, though less common, styles of yoga practice (usually as the last 10 or 15 minutes of the session):
- Yoga nidra – guided relaxation/meditation
This is a very relaxing form of guided meditation where the yoga practitioner does a slow body scan: bringing awareness to each part of the body, relaxing each muscle and focusing on their breathing. It’s a great way to release stress and is popular at the end of a yoga class. - Pranayama breathing exercises
Ashtanga yoga has eight limbs and Pranayama is the fourth. Western yoga classes have typically not included pranayama exercises; however, they are now becoming more popular due to their health benefits and ability to relieve stress and improve mental clarity. (Benefits of breathing techniques.)
Office Yoga Pricing
HSG has very competitive office yoga rates. And, as you’d expect, prices per session are lower when you book more than one session.
Travel Fee: Our office yoga instructors are based throughout Melbourne and much of Victoria, however, we may need to charge a travel fee if we don’t have an instructor within 20km of your office.

Ruth is great! She arrived on time and the session ran smoothly. We got a bit of everything: yoga, stretching, and meditation. Based on the fact that many participants approached her after the session, I assume the participants enjoyed it too. We are happy with your services. Thank you for helping us organize it, even though I contacted you a bit last minute. I will definitely recommend your services to our future committee.
How Office Yoga Benefits Your Company
Office Yoga sessions helps your staff with both mental and physical fitness. It provides benefits from reducing stress, and from improving physical fitness and strength.
Many people continuously put off exercising to become healthier, but when you provide a free yoga class in the office, it saves them travel time and thus makes it easier for them decide to begin exercising.
The benefits of office yoga include:
- Improved inter-staff relations
When people are stressed at work, tempers flare and relationships can sour, leading to uncooperative, less cohesive teams – bad for productivity! - Reduce worker’s compensation claims
Almost 30% of all WorkCover claims are stress-related, and they are about twice as expensive as non-stress-related claims. Workplace yoga also helps prevent and alleviate muscular and joint problems, and thus claims for these issues may also be reduced. - Improved customer service
Employees that are less stressed, will be friendlier and warmer to customers and deliver better service. - Higher staff morale
A reduction of stress in the workplace produces happier employees. People also feel better about themselves when they regularly exercise. - Decreased illness and absenteeism
Stress at work can produce a range of mental and physical illnesses, including depression. Stress suppresses the immune system so that it takes longer to recover from non-stress-related illnesses. This results in loss of work hours. Stress impairs our immune system, which increases the time it takes to get over an illness, and as a consequence leads to more sick leave being taken. Yoga involves both stretching and strengthening, which are a good way of alleviating and preventing back pain. This is particularly relevant for office staff that sit at their computer all day long. - More productivity
The abovementioned factors, plus the fact that everyone thinks a little less clearly when they’re stressed, means that providing yoga classes as a stress management strategy, leads to improved productivity and profitability.
