Telomeres are found within your DNA, and have been shown to give an accurate indication of a person’s biological age.
Researchers measured telomeres from the chromosomes of male test subjects who undertook a three-month program of regular exercise, meditation, yoga, eating whole foods and maintaining social support.
After the three months, these men were biologically younger than before the trial. And years after completing the program and returning to their normal lifestyles, the positive effects of this three-month period were still noticeable.
While you can’t use this to maintain eternal youth, the benefits of a healthy lifestyle stay with you in the long-term.
