Wellbeing Week programs: a full week of practical team support

A well-executed wellbeing week is a high-visibility investment in people. It generates energy and engagement, and it reinforces your organisation’s commitment to employee wellbeing in a way a single email never can. A poorly run one, a few posters, a mistimed yoga class, a lone fruit bowl, sends a different message: employees quickly spot when gestures don’t match reality.

Holistic Services Group has designed and delivered workplace wellbeing weeks for Australian organisations since 2003. HSG manages the complexity so you don’t have to, from program design and facilitator briefing through to scheduling, logistics and evaluation. You get a week that lands well, and your people get an experience that makes a difference.

Workplace wellbeing program and employee health

What is a workplace wellbeing week?

A workplace wellbeing week is a dedicated period, typically five days, during which an organisation delivers a coordinated program of wellbeing activities across its workforce, combining multiple service types and formats into a single experience. A good wellbeing week covers the key dimensions of physical health, mental health, team connection, nutrition and recovery, and uses varied formats, workshops, massage, fitness classes and social activities, to reach every group. HSG creates integrated weeks, not a series of last-minute sessions: every part links to a central theme, each day has a clear focus, and the program builds momentum across the week.

Why a wellbeing week is worth doing properly

Engagement is in decline worldwide, and a single email won’t turn that around. A visible, well-run wellbeing week is one of the clearer signals an organisation can send that it takes its people seriously.

A wellbeing week won’t fix engagement on its own, but it can support engagement, connection and morale when it’s part of a sustained approach rather than a one-off gesture.

What a wellbeing week can include

HSG draws on its full-service suite to design wellbeing weeks. A typical program combines elements from the following components.

Health and wellbeing expo

A signature centrepiece: a multi-stall event combining practitioner consultations, product demonstrations, fitness classes, massage stations, nutrition displays and interactive activities. Half-day, full-day or multi-day formats. See Health & Wellbeing Expos.

Workshops and webinars

Facilitated sessions across mental health, resilience, stress management, mindfulness, nutrition, leadership, ergonomics and more. Available as 45-minute lunch-and-learns, 90-minute workshops or half-day formats, onsite or online. See Workplace Wellness Webinars.

Corporate massage

Onsite seated massage delivered by qualified therapists throughout the week — consistently one of the most popular and visible ways to show staff care. See Corporate Massage.

Fitness and movement classes

Corporate yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing and other movement sessions, onsite or online, suitable for all fitness levels and available in short formats that fit within working hours. See Workplace Fitness Classes.

Team building activities

Laughter wellness, team games, icebreakers and other experiential activities that build connection and energy across the week. See Team Building & Culture Workshops.

Healthy cooking demonstrations

Interactive cooking sessions covering nutrition principles and practical meal preparation, onsite or online, with take-home recipes and resources. See Healthy Cooking Demonstrations.

Health assessments and consultations

Individual health screenings, lifestyle consultations and ergonomic assessments, giving employees personalised, actionable health information in a confidential one-on-one format. See Workplace Health Assessments.

Keynote speaker

A keynote address on a wellbeing topic relevant to your workforce: mental health, resilience, leadership, purpose or physical health. An effective anchor for the opening or closing day. See Keynote & Conference Speakers.

A suggested five-day wellbeing week schedule

This framework builds energy and variety across five days. It can be adapted to your organisation’s size, workforce, delivery preferences and budget.

Monday — Mind and mental health

Mental health awareness workshop (morning) + corporate massage (throughout the day) + keynote speaker (afternoon)

Tuesday — Physical health and movement

Corporate yoga or Pilates class (morning) + ergonomic assessment station (throughout the day) + nutrition workshop (lunchtime)

Wednesday — Health expo day

Full or half-day health and wellbeing expo: massage stations, practitioner consultations, fitness demonstrations, nutrition display and interactive activities

Thursday — Connection and team wellbeing

Team building activities (morning) + resilience or positive psychology workshop (afternoon) + healthy cooking demonstration (lunchtime)

Friday — Reflection and energy

Laughter wellness session (morning) + individual health assessments (throughout the day) + closing celebration or keynote

This is a guide, not a template. Some organisations run a concentrated single-day expo instead of a full week; others spread activities across a fortnight. HSG designs around your constraints. Programs are also tailored by industry: shift-friendly formats for hospitals, interactive online sessions for technology teams, hands-on workshops for manufacturing sites, and theme-led weeks aligned to industry priorities such as stress management for finance, injury prevention for logistics, or team connection for professional services. The health expo can also be booked separately; see Health & Wellbeing Expos.

How HSG manages your wellbeing week

Program design: a short consultation to understand your objectives, workforce, site logistics, and budget, followed by a program that balances variety with coherence so the week feels purposeful rather than random.

Facilitator and supplier coordination: HSG manages all facilitator briefing, scheduling and coordination. A national network of specialist facilitators enables HSG to staff complex, multi-day programs across multiple locations simultaneously, with a single point of contact throughout.

Logistics and onsite management: for expo-format events, HSG can manage the full process from venue setup to pack-down, including stall design, equipment and onsite coordination. For distributed programs, HSG manages the online delivery calendar and technical requirements.

Evaluation and reporting: at the end of the week, HSG provides a structured evaluation drawing on attendance, participation, feedback on usefulness and, where appropriate, pre- and post-program wellbeing measures, with a summary report and recommendations to guide the following year.

Frequently asked questions

We recommend contacting HSG six to eight weeks before your intended dates to allow time for design and planning. Larger events benefit from earlier contact; smaller programs can often be arranged within about four weeks. A wellbeing week can also be designed around a specific theme or campaign, such as mental health, physical health or resilience.

Cost depends on the program’s scope, duration, participant numbers, format and components, so HSG provides a tailored proposal after an initial consultation. Using a single provider for the entire week, rather than coordinating multiple suppliers, saves your team significant time. Contact us for a tailored quote.

Yes. All workshop and webinar components are available via live webinar, as are fitness classes, cooking demonstrations and team-building activities. For hybrid workforces, HSG can design a program that delivers onsite and online components simultaneously so every employee can take part regardless of location.

Yes. HSG can manage the full program from design through delivery to evaluation, including facilitator briefing and coordination, scheduling, logistics, onsite management for expo-format events, and post-event reporting, with a single point of contact throughout. Organisations can also engage HSG for specific elements only if they are managing parts of the week themselves.

A wellbeing week can include any combination of HSG’s services: health and wellbeing expos, mental health workshops, corporate massage, fitness and movement classes, team building activities, healthy cooking demonstrations, health assessments and consultations, ergonomic assessments, and keynote speakers. HSG designs the specific combination based on your objectives, workforce, venue and goals.

Plan your wellbeing week

Tell us your dates, your workforce and what you want the week to achieve, and HSG will design and coordinate a program that lands well.
