Make Men’s and Women’s Health Easier to Talk About at Work
Generic wellbeing sessions often miss what employees most want to hear. Men and women face different health pressures, and the questions they want answered are rarely the same. Workshops tailored for men’s and women’s cohorts give your people relevant information, delivered in a way that makes them comfortable enough to engage.
Men’s & Women’s Health Workshops are workplace health and wellbeing sessions covering mental, physical, and lifestyle health topics, tailored separately for men’s and women’s cohorts. Holistic Services Group delivers them as interactive workshops and seminars, onsite in major Australian cities and regional areas, and virtually across Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific.

The cost of leaving health unspoken
When health sits in the ‘too personal’ basket at work, problems tend to surface later and cost more. Mental health conditions now account for 12% of all serious workers’ compensation claims in Australia, up from 6.5% a decade ago, and serious mental health claims have risen 161.1% over the same period (Safe Work Australia, Key Work Health and Safety Statistics 2025). Physical health concerns often go unaddressed, too, particularly among men, who are less likely to seek support early. Workplaces that make space for honest, gender-relevant health conversations help staff act sooner.
Preventive, gender-relevant health education reaches people before issues become claims, absences, or quiet disengagement.
Who this is for
These workshops are designed for two distinct groups. The men’s health stream suits male employees across all ages and roles, including those in male-dominated or frontline teams where health is rarely discussed openly. The women’s health stream suits female employees at every career and life stage. Both streams work well for whole organisations on a wellbeing day, and are frequently run as part of Men’s Health Week or Women’s Health Week.

What the workshops involve
HSG delivers these as practical, discussion-based workshops and seminars, typically 45 to 90 minutes, onsite or online and led by a qualified health practitioner. The two streams usually run separately, and content is shaped to your workforce before delivery. Content can be adapted sensitively to each workplace’s culture, language preferences, and participant needs.
Both streams are educational and awareness-focused. They do not provide medical diagnosis, screening, or individual clinical advice; instead, they provide employees with trustworthy information and encourage them to take action regarding their own health. Workshops can be combined with programs such as Workplace Mental Health Training or run as a recurring fixture in your wellbeing calendar.
Men’s health stream
Covers physical and cardiovascular health, nutrition, sleep, and mental wellbeing, alongside the importance of regular preventive health checks. A core aim is to reduce the stigma that stops many men from seeking help early, so they leave with practical steps and the confidence to act.
Women’s health stream
Covers mental health and resilience, awareness of hormonal and reproductive health, nutrition, and work-life integration, as well as the value of preventive health care. Sessions give women reliable, evidence-informed information relevant to their health at each life stage.
Outcomes
Direct measurable outcomes
- Attendance and participation rates
- Participant feedback and reported usefulness
- Questions raised and engagement during the session
- Repeat bookings, including year-on-year seasonal programs
Business outcomes these workshops can support
- Higher engagement with workplace wellbeing initiatives
- A visible signal that the organisation invests in staff health
- Earlier help-seeking and reduced stigma, particularly among men
- A stronger, more connected team culture
Why the investment matters
With mental health driving a rising share of serious workplace claims in Australia (Safe Work Australia, 2025), and physical health concerns often going unaddressed until they escalate, relevant health education is a practical preventive investment that reaches people while change is still straightforward.
What our clients say
Max delivered back to back two separate workshops for Adobe about Men’s Health and Women’s Health and we couldn’t be happier. We got the best attendance ever to any Health & Wellbeing workshop we’ve run so far, people were really engaged asking questions and the content was perfect and clearly in demand. Max was the perfect presenter and did a fantastic job engaging with the audience considering that the event was online. He timed the session to perfection accommodating every single question in the audience. I would recommend these workshops to any company that wants to arm their employees with health information specific to their genders and to bring down the stigma (specially around men) of talking about health problems.

They are designed for two distinct cohorts: male employees across all ages and roles in the men’s stream, and female employees at every career and life stage in the women’s stream. Both also work well for whole teams at a wellbeing day.
Generic wellbeing sessions often miss the health issues employees most want addressed. Gender-specific workshops feel more relevant, which lifts engagement and encourages earlier help-seeking, particularly among men. With mental health conditions now accounting for 12% of serious workers’ compensation claims in Australia (Safe Work Australia, 2025), preventive and relevant health education is a sound organisational investment.
HSG reports on attendance, participant feedback, questions raised and repeat bookings. Our experience shows that these sessions can attract strong participation when the topic, format and internal communication are matched to the workforce, and that over time, they can support higher engagement with wellbeing initiatives, reduced stigma around health, and a workforce that feels supported.

Yes. Content is shaped to your workforce, industry, and health priorities before delivery. The workshops are a natural fit for Men’s Health Week in June and Women’s Health Week in September, and many organisations run them alongside campaigns such as Movember and International Women’s Day.
Usually, yes. The two streams are typically delivered as separate sessions so each group can ask questions and speak openly. Organisations can also run a single combined session on shared health topics where that suits their team better.
