Workplace fitness classes that fit around the working day

When your team is at their desks all day, energy dips, focus fades, and bodies stiffen up. A regular fitness class is one of the easiest ways to break that pattern, get people moving together, and give the workday a lift that staff genuinely look forward to.

Workplace fitness classes are instructor-led group exercise sessions delivered at your workplace or online. HSG runs classes including tai chi and qi gong, dance fitness, bootcamp and boxercise, strengthen and stretch, and desk-friendly fit-and-focused sessions, onsite and online across Australia since 2003, scaled to suit all fitness levels.

Workplace fitness class in action

Why regular movement is worth building into the workday

For desk-based teams, the challenge is often not a lack of good intentions but a workday that leaves little room to move. Scheduled classes make participation easier and create a shared reason to step away from the desk.

Workplace fitness classes are a participation and wellbeing initiative. They do not replace ergonomic assessments, suitable work design or an organisation’s WHS risk controls.

Who this is for

Workplace fitness classes suit desk-based and hybrid teams, mixed-ability employee groups, staff participating in wellbeing days, and organisations wanting to establish a regular movement rhythm across the working week.

What the service involves

Qualified instructors run classes at your workplace or online, typically 30 to 45 minutes, scheduled before work, at lunchtime or in the afternoon. Most classes need little or no equipment and only a modest amount of space. You can book a one-off class, a themed wellbeing-day session, or an ongoing weekly program with a rotating mix of classes to keep things fresh.

Classes within this service include:

  • Tai Chi and Qi Gong, for balance, focus and calm
  • Dance fitness (Zumba-style), bootcamp and boxercise, for higher-energy cardio
  • Strengthen and Stretch, for functional strength and mobility
  • Fit and Focused, desk-friendly movement for busy offices
  • Yoga for accessible movement, breathing and relaxation
  • Pilates for controlled movement focused on posture, stability and core strength

Yoga and Pilates are also available as dedicated workplace programs, with session formats tailored to your team, venue and experience levels.
