Coronavirus: 5 Ways HSG Can Help Alleviate Staff Stress, Remote Worker Disengagement and Declining Morale
Anxiety and stress levels are through the roof, due to uncertainty, business disruption, illness, and even death being top of mind. Now, more than ever, the health and wellbeing of your staff must be prioritised to get through this global challenge.
For the past year, HSG has been facilitating live, interactive webinars to some of the world’s largest organisations. Now is the time to let us help you to support your staff with our online options:

- Working Remotely – Juggling Work/Life in a Changed Environment
Time management and work-life balance boundaries are essential to ensure that your leaders and team members remain engaged and high performing during these unprecedented times.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to plan their days effectively to remain focused and resilient while working from home, yet part of a team.

4. Virtual Team Bonding ‘Offsite’
An online, interactive tailor-designed team building experience designed to support teams to retain engagement and elevated resilience, wellness and productivity while working from home or in isolation. Our popular Laughter Yoga for team-building is also available as an interactive online session. As they say, laughter is the best medicine…
5. One on One Staff Counselling and Coaching / Leadership Wellness Coaching
Protect Your Health By Keeping Your Calm: The first thing to remember in an outbreak of infectious disease is not to panic, as fear and stress weaken your immune system. Self-care protocols including good sleep, whole-foods, regular exercise and relaxation are crucial to maintaining an optimal state of wellbeing. If you or those around you are finding it hard to cope, we can assist with coaching sessions to ensure an optimal state of mental and emotional wellbeing during these difficult times.

Comment from the CEO
I recently returned from 8 days away without any phone or internet access… and what a difference a week makes! I was amazed to find emptying supermarket shelves and read about people fighting over toilet paper, and alarmed to see the fear-driven media frenzy in full gear. As a friend said, “It’s not the virus that worries me, it’s the way that humans react that really scares me”.
It’s time to stop, breathe and calm ourselves. We live in communities which exist to provide support to each other. Now, more than ever is a time to look after ourselves and make sure that we care for one another.
Take a moment to stop, breathe deeply and slowly, calm your nervous system and practice these simple tasks daily:
- Get plenty of sleep
- Chat with trusted friends
- Be grateful
- Move/stretch, walk outside (sunshine, water, trees and views)
- Eat real food (and small portions)
- Have hot baths and cold showers
- Make and play music, sing and dance
